Fog lights are special lights that are used for improving visibility during foggy or rainy season or during snowfall. Normal headlights are not sufficient to illuminate the road for safe driving. In absence of such lighting, the chances of accidents increase, and this can be fatal to the driver itself and the other cars and drivers also.

Some are the OEM Lights, which are the original Equipment Manufacturer lights. These are supplied by the car manufacturer, and are complimentary to the car model. Others are the factory Fog Lights, which can be got as replacement if the car manufacturing company is offering these. These, as the name suggests, form halo around the vehicle, making them clear and visible in bad weather conditions.
